I grew up a "water-junkie", going to the ocean to Windsurf or the bayou to Water-ski after school while my friends went to football or baseball practice. At the time, little did I know that I would later own a dock business which would be a perfect marriage of my skills and interests.
In my previous life, I ran a manufacturing facility for a fortune 500 company and did the structural engineering on offshore oil platforms that have to withstand hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico. After this, I purchased and ran a sign business for 4 years (www.apollosign.com), which I sold prior to buying Wahoo Docks™.
Wahoo Docks™ is great on several fronts but mainly because it lets me spend time working with customers and dealers that share my passion for the water. I am probably best skilled at problem solving and there exist many situations where generic dock solutions are not suitable. Even to this day, I pull out my engineering texts on more than I would like to admit.

Running an industry-leading dock company is a great thing. I get to spend time playing with some neat toys in our plant and on the water and associate with some truly fascinating individuals. We work very, very hard at Wahoo™ but we try to have fun along the way – I am a firm believer in keeping a perspective in life.
My family and I love the water and outdoor activities in general. Although our trips to the eastern seaboard are our favorite activities, returning to a workplace where each employee is engaged, takes responsibility for our successes and failures and is respectful of each other is a treat. Needless to say, it is a joy to come work with my colleagues each day.
I hope and think we have created an atmosphere that ties personal satisfaction to our excellence as a group, continuous improvement and innovation. As we continue our journey, my personal goal is to maintain our position at the forefront of the industries in which we are involved and to support and grow with our employees and stakeholders.
Tim graduated from Dartmouth College with a dual degree in Mechanical Engineering and Economics and from New York University with Masters degree in Business.
